Sime Forest

AH, NK and I had a great time in Sime.
There were lots of young around - 3 young Dark-throated Tailorbirds (so cute), 1 Cream-vented Bulbul (we couldn't id it till an adult flew in and perched besides it), 1 young Orange-bellied Flowerpecker (to AH's delight), heard an immature Black-naped Oriole calling and we also stayed a bit to watch a Pin-striped Babbler feeding its chicks somewhere hidden in the ferns by the roadside.

We sat by the reservoir at the end of our leisurely walk to makan and to our surprise 2 White-breasted Waterhens crossed our path. One, the younger I guessed, strolled leisurely and slowly right in front of our eyes!!! A little later, while we were still chatting away, it decided to stretch its neck (close to NK) to listen in. The other one was skitty, it sprinted across by the water's edge.
