when the sun goes down

There was much frenzy in the morning about the solar eclipse. While I missed that, I saw the sun set over sungei ulu pandan. If it was a "ring of fire" for the morning, then I have a ball in the evening.

North Eastern Riverine Loop (NERL)

Met up with LSG and YBL at Anderson Junior College bus-stop opposite Blk 648.


Cycled along AMK Ave 5 Park Connector towards Buangkok Green.

Turn left to Punggol Park Connector. Stopped at Sengkang Floating Wetland for photos. Quick stop at Marina Country Club where LSG bought drinks.
Continued on to Punggol Point Walk, where we stopped for snacks under the tree by the seaside.
Punggol Promenade Nature Walk, where the tyres turned red from the soil.
Went over the bridge to Lorong Halus Wetland (for toilet break), then on to Punggol Waterway.

Had to stop at Anchorvale Community Club when it started to rain. After 1 hour's break for coffee and tea, we were on the way back to where we started. A good 6 hours later.

Southern Ridges

Started at the junction of Pasir Panjang Road and Pepys Road. Went up to Kent Ridge Park (Canopy Walk), through HortPark, on to Telok Blangah Hill Park (Forest Walk), and Mount Faber Park. Down from Marang Trail and exit near Harbour Front MRT station. A good walk of 4 hours.
